Last night was the first time I stepped into Attica. Was supposed to go there a couple of times before as my close friend has been constantly inviting me to go. However, things always change last minute and hence, I have not been able to go with her.
Attica is a straight club at Clarke Quay. What I heard about the place is that there are a lot of foreigners (mostly Caucasians or locally termed ang mohs) and of course, SPGs or Sarong Party Girls. What are SPGs? They are basically girls who apparently like ang mohs. They can be seen dating or partying away with Caucasians.
True enough, Attica was filled with ang mohs and SPGs last night. It was quite an eye opener for my best friend John* and I. After we left Attica, we were discussing how the SPGs seemed to be looking for the ang mohs and vice versa. And then I thought, how about Sarong Party Gays? I am sure there are such people as well.
But in general, what does the society think of SPGs? I am quite sure there is a negative perception of them. But what if they just really prefer Caucasians? Hmm. After all, it’s just a question of preference right?
And no, I am not defending them whatsoever. Haha. I was just thinking.
Whatcha think?

to each his/her own. i mean, there are SPGs, and there are also those who hang out in Geylang…
whatever their reasons for doing what they’re doing, i wish them all to be safe.
